Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Program Manager to execute the Kobuk program within Space Protection and Control (SPC). The role oversees cost, schedule, and technical performance, interfacing with the customer COTR/PM and leading cross-functional teams to staff with the right experts.

The candidate will develop and present the Annual Operating Plan and long-term outlook, support capture activities, and drive cost reduction, quality, and reliability improvements

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management.
• External & Internal customer exposure experience.
• Knowledge of agile lifecycle and new product development.
• The ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams of people and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, team members and partners.
• Proven high proficiency experience in MS Office Suite
• An active and in-scope TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required for consideration. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Establishing and growing a trusted partnership with the customer counterpart and be the primary interface with the COTR/Customer PM.
• Drive a positive team culture to motivate the team to achieve program objectives on schedule and at cost.
• Clearly communicate program status and any corrective actions in a timely fashion.
• Partnering at multiple levels within enterprise to capture new business and ensure execution success.
• Presenting program status utilizing business and project management tools and procedures including Agile metrics, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC required program statuses.
