Mission Solutions and Payloads (MSP) is seeking a Program Manager to execute the Sterling program within the Space Protection and Control (SPC) area. Sterling is a Special Access Program. The Program Manager is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program and is the primary interface to the customer COTR/PM. The Program Manager must be able to provide leadership, direction, and execution management of the program to include working directly with functional leaders within the matrixed organization to ensure the programs are properly staffed with personnel that have the right skill sets as well as behaviors, setting priorities, resolving conflicts & barriers. The PM will also own the responsibility for developing and presenting to senior management the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-term financial outlook to grow multiple programs under their direct supervision. The selected individual will support and lead capture activities including proposals, cost estimating approach and analysis, and gate reviews. Further responsibilities include developing and communicating strategy and tactics to reduce cost, improve quality, increase performance and reliability, and improve overall competitiveness of the products.
The role is responsible for daily execution of the Sterling program , executing multiple parallel baselines with respective critical paths. The PM should have demonstrated experience in leading large teams including championing a positive team culture, driving program transformation, and embracing technology insertion/innovation. The selected candidate will also be identifying strategies to shape modernization activities aligned with the customer's vision. Candidate should be familiar with Software development program and Agile program methodologies.
