Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking staff to support Extended Learning and Discovery Link programs, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for school-age children.

Responsibilities include supervising students, following district policies, delivering daily activities, maintaining space and behavior standards, and building positive relationships with families and staff. Applicants must have a high school diploma and first aid/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with 3 months (455 hours) of experience with school-age children.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and dismantle oppression; support all students.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
  • Must currently hold or be able to become trained in First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration and Universal Precautions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students following ELCS/Discovery Link, district, and Colorado DHS policies.
  • Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and follow guidelines.
  • Provide active supervision to ensure student safety.
  • Implement daily program schedules, curriculum, and engaging activities.
  • Maintain appropriate student behavior per the district Behavior Matrix.
  • Review scheduling, staffing assignments, and supervision expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships with families and staff; cover sites as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
