Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking staff for Discovery Link after-school programs to support a safe, engaging environment for students. You will supervise, implement daily schedules, and foster positive relationships with families and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ years old, 3 months of experience with school-age children, and First Aid/CPR certification; Colorado licensing compliance will apply. The role offers competitive hourly pay and district benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have at least three months (455 hours) of full-time or equivalent part-time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-age children.
  • Must currently hold certification in First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration and Universal Precautions (or be able to become trained).

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to ELCS/Discovery Link policies and district regulations for student supervision, safety, and staff conduct.
  • Maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times.
  • Supervise students independently and provide active supervision for safety.
  • Implement daily program schedules, curriculum, and engaging activities.
  • Maintain appropriate student behavior per the district Behavior Matrix.
  • Prepare and clean program spaces and review daily schedules and assignments.
  • Foster positive relationships with families and staff; assist at program sites as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
