Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated program staff member to support Extended Learning and Community Schools. You will supervise students, implement daily schedules, and deliver engaging activities that promote safety, well-being, and learning.

You will follow district policies, build positive relationships with families and staff, and help maintain orderly spaces. The role requires a minimum high school diploma, 18+ years old, and ability to meet physical demands; Colorado address

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • At least three (3) months (455 hours) of experience with school-age children.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to ELCS/Discovery Link, district, and Colorado DHS policies related to student supervision, safety, and staff conduct.
  • Follow staff conduct guidelines and licensing requirements, maintain required staff-to-child ratios.
  • Supervise students independently and provide active supervision for safety.
  • Implement daily program schedules, curriculum, and activities, including recreational/movement-based programming.
  • Maintain student behavior standards consistent with the district Behavior Matrix.
  • Prepare, maintain, and restore program spaces; review schedules and supervision expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships with families and staff; substitute at sites as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
