Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Program Specialist in Chicago to lead the management and implementation of programs and projects, including budgeting, fundraising for externally funded initiatives, and marketing activities. You will oversee meetings and special events to ensure successful outcomes.

You will coordinate day-to-day activities, advise leaders on strategy and risk, act as the main liaison for projects, collaborate with partners, and supervise staff as needed. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least three years’ experience, or a high school diploma with five years’ relevant professional experience.
• Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day organization and implementation of one or more programs or projects, including budgeting and compliance.
• Advises member leaders on strategy and procedures to move projects forward.
• Serves as primary contact for projects, initiates regular communications with leaders and staff.
• Coordinates with internal and external partners; may solicit and manage sponsorship revenue.
• Supervises one or more staff, including recruitment, onboarding, mentoring and evaluations.
• Performs other related duties as required.
