Job summary

Children’s Network of Hillsborough, in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Supervisory Peer Recovery Specialist to lead the PRS program and oversee a team of five specialists. The role requires driving field activities, coordinating referrals, and ensuring compliance with the Florida Certification Board credentialing process.

The position is full-time with in-office base and field work; training is required annually and travel within Hillsborough County is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Certified Peer Specialist through the Florida Certification Board.
• Two to three years peer recovery experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Assign referrals received for the Peer Recovery program to individual Peer Recovery Specialists within their designated circuit.
• Coordinate participation of specific Peer Recovery Specialists in judicial appointments, community events, and network staffing meetings.
• Track measurable data to assess engagement of Peer Recovery Specialists with their assigned clients.
• Provide staff with resources, guidance, and knowledge needed to engage with their assigned clients.
• Offer staff strength-based feedback, promote workplace wellness, and support staff in daily responsibilities.
• Assist onboarded staff in obtaining the CRPS Certification from the Florida Certification Board.
• Ensure PRS staff deliver services aligned with the Code of Ethics from CRPS process.
• Maintain regular in-office attendance and collaborate with team and stakeholders.
• Must drive and have reliable transportation for field-based activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
