Job summary

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay seeks a Peer Recovery Navigator (Peer Specialist) to provide trauma-informed peer support and crisis intervention in the Tampa Bay community.

You will work with individuals and families, assist with the Marchman Act process, coordinate services, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.

This full-time, day-shift role requires personal recovery experience; travel in the Tampa Bay area is required, with occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Personal, lived experience with substance use and recovery required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a social service-related field required.
• CRPS certification or meets requirements to become certified within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed peer-based services and crisis intervention.
• Coordinating internal and external services for clients affected by substance use.
• Document client interactions in HIPAA-protected systems and EHR.
• Assist with Marchman Act processes and court involvement as needed.
• Engage with Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties and attend stakeholder events.
