Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience in office administration or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates Hawaiian and Pacific Collection circulation and stacks management activities.
• Maintains clear, regular communication with librarians and staff to ensure high-quality, consistent services.
• Develops and maintains an effective, collegial, service-oriented team environment within the Hawaiian and Pacific Collections Department.
• Oversees recruitment, training, emergency preparation, supervision of staff and students, and manages related budgets and timekeeping records.
• Hires, trains, schedules, supervises, approves timesheets, and manages student employees to support department operations.
• Prepares and analyzes basic financial, circulation, statistical reports including the department student budget.
• Advises Department Chair on budget and anticipated considerations.
• Works outside of normal business hours including nights and weekends in alignment with library operations.
