Qualifications

• One year of clerical work experience demonstrating spelling and arithmetic; ability to read, understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform various clerical procedures, operate office equipment, and interact tactfully with others; or equivalent to Library Assistant II level.
• Two years of progressively responsible library experience involving library support activities and knowledge of library terminology, practices, policies and procedures.
• At least one year of required Specialized Experience comparable to Library Assistant IV level.
• Substitutions allowed as described in Minimum Qualification Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly complex library support work and supervise/participate in complex tasks.
• Perform substantive technical/paraprofessional library support work requiring library sciences knowledge.
• Supervise and participate in moderately complex library support work and provide non-professional support in a school library.
