Job summary

State of Hawai'i's Hawaii State Public Library System seeks a Librarian V/VI to plan, organize, and supervise statewide cataloging and classification services within the Technical Services Section at Salt Lake-Moanalua Public Library.

You will oversee database maintenance, material acquisition, and processing of library materials, applying AACR2, DDC, RDA, and MARC standards, with leadership in implementing new systems and supporting a statewide patron community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• Four and one-half years of progressively responsible professional librarian experience.
• Knowledge of AACR2, Dewey Decimal, RDA, MARC, and other cataloging standards.
• Experience planning and directing the implementation of cataloging/classification systems.
• Proficiency with computers, internet, and Microsoft Office; ability to learn library software.
