Job summary

Morgan Stanley in the U.S. Banks Non-Financial Risk Program Governance and Execution team seeks an Associate to support governance, oversight, and delivery across core NFR initiatives.

You will coordinate with risk stakeholders, prepare committee materials, and help implement AI-driven improvements to workflows. The role requires a bachelor’s in Finance or Risk Management, 3–5 years of risk management experience, and strong Office skills plus familiarity with AI tools (GPT, Claude, Copilot).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Risk Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of work experience in risk management or related fields.
• Advanced Office Suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (GPT, Claude, Copilot) and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of key U.S. Banks' programs, including metrics and reporting.
• Coordinate development and monitoring of Annual Operational Risk and Compliance plans.
• Evaluate effectiveness of metrics and risk programs; improve governance reporting processes.
• Coordinate governance activities across risk committees and forums; prepare materials.
• Support ad hoc requests and special projects related to Non-Financial Risk governance.
• Support transformation efforts impacting Non-Financial Risk governance and oversight.
• Serve as relationship manager with Non-Financial Risk stakeholders and Enterprise Risk teams.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions on Non-Financial Risk priorities and regulatory commitments.
• Identify and deliver AI-enabled enhancements to streamline processes and risk management.
