Austal Usa, LLC is seeking a senior Program Finance Leader in Mobile, AL to guide program financial performance across construction, support and services. You will lead Program Financial Managers, EVMS analysts, and cost reporting, ensuring accurate forecasts and timely management reporting.

The role requires extensive government contracting experience (CAS, FAR, DFAR), MBA/CPA/CMA, and strong leadership to drive forecast accuracy and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 15 years of in-depth experience in manufacturing, government contracting, or long-term construction accounting.
• MBA and/or CPA/CMA required.
• 5-7 years supervisory experience; multitask, delegate and work under pressure.
• Extensive government contracting experience (CAS, FAR, DFAR).
• Ten years managing a financial business segment or cost/profit center.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to present financial concepts to executive leadership.
• Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple customer demands.

Responsabilités

• Leads Program Financial Managers, Financial Analysts, and EVMS Analysts to ensure timely deliverables and reporting.
• Liaises with internal/external customers to align financial objectives with strategic initiatives.
• Develops forecast models and analyses to support program financial strategies.
• Coordinates monthly forecast submissions with Assistant Controller and executives.
• Oversees program financial reporting across New Construction, Support, and Services.
• Provides guidance on program financial questions across departments and offices.
• Supports annual bottom-up EAC reviews and variance analyses.
• Maintains compliance with EVMS requirements and internal controls.
• Drives cost efficiency strategies to meet or exceed financial goals.
• Prepares and presents financial results to executive leadership and government representatives.
