Job summary

Draper Labs is seeking a Program Finance Analyst to support program financial management in Cambridge/Massachusetts. The role emphasizes Earned Value management, cost/schedule performance tracking, and baseline development for national defense contracts.

The analyst will prepare variance analyses, EAC updates, and program-level time-phased plans, ensuring timely invoicing and receivable collection while supporting PMRs and QBRs with solid financial narratives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of Analyst or related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance preferred.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related processes.
  • Supports baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable.
  • Provides updates/changes for programs with/without Earned Value requirements in ERP or Cobra.
  • Provides analysis and reports on variances to budget and assists with recovery plans.
  • Analyzes and reports risks & opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC.
  • Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).
  • Provides timely completion of the EAC process and time-phased EAC updates for planning and reporting.
  • Develops and monitors the program-level time-phased plan to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and 5-year planning.
  • Delivers financial inputs, analysis, and variance narratives for PMRs and QBRs.
  • Provides timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables.
  • Reviews and communicates the status of program financials and funding status.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
