Job Description

Job Summary

The Program Director is responsible for managing internal business projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts. The role includes delivering products through the design process to completion, planning schedules, managing budgets, and overseeing project progress from inception to delivery. The director may also engage external vendors and oversee system analysis and program staff. This position focuses on project and program management, requiring strong leadership, governance, and strategic oversight skills. The ideal candidate should be experienced in presenting to C-level executives, managing portfolios, and utilizing project management methodologies and tools. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple priorities and ambiguity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Manage programs using staff and matrixed resources with oversight from senior leadership
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the functional area and lead programs to meet critical needs
• Identify and escalate gaps and barriers in implementation and compliance
• Develop business cases and strategies for program implementation
• Collaborate with other units at corporate and Molina Plans

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Required Experience

7-9 years in related roles

Preferred Education

Graduate degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

10+ years in Provider Data Operations, experience with State Master Files, advanced Excel skills with large datasets

Preferred Certifications

PMP, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL delivery experience
