Job Description

Job Summary

The Program Director is responsible for managing internal business projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts. The role includes delivering products through the design process to completion, planning and directing schedules and project budgets, and monitoring projects from inception through delivery. The director may oversee external vendors and assign, direct, and monitor system analysis and program staff. This position primarily focuses on project and program management, requiring strong leadership and governance skills, experience presenting to C-level executives, and proficiency with portfolio and project management tools and methodologies. The role demands the ability to quickly assimilate information, make informed decisions, influence stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities and ambiguity. The director will oversee strategic and operational portfolios and manage relationships with Corporate EPMO and IT, including issue escalation and resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Manage programs using staff and matrixed resources with oversight from AVP and VP
• Serve as industry Subject Matter Expert and lead programs to meet critical needs
• Identify and escalate gaps and barriers in implementation and compliance
• Develop business cases and strategies for programs and implementations
• Collaborate with other units at corporate and Molina Plans

Job Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Required Experience: 7-9 years

Preferred Education: Graduate Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience: 10+ years

Preferred License, Certification, Association: CPHQ
