The Program Director is responsible for managing internal business projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts. The role includes delivering products through the design process to completion, planning and directing schedules and budgets, monitoring projects from inception through delivery, and overseeing external vendors if necessary. The director assigns, directs, and monitors system analysis and program staff. This position focuses on project/program management, requiring strong leadership skills, experience in portfolio and project management tools and methodologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives. The role involves managing strategic relationships and overseeing the operational and strategic portfolios, including issue escalation and resolution.
