About The Role
As a CBRE Program Director, you will manage teams responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects and programs. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Mail, Document Services, Shipping & Receiving, your expertise is crucial for creating and executing operational strategic programs and delivering a superior customer experience. You will analyze, evaluate, create, and implement operational plans to provide industry-leading services to our clients.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate scope of work to determine staffing needs for daily operations
- Create presentation materials outlining methodology and industry knowledge applied in staffing and operational models
- Utilize cross-functional roles to deliver cost-effective staffing and resource solutions
- Provide insights on compliance and regulatory requirements related to mail, shipping, and receiving, including postal regulations, IATA/DOT, security screening (CBRNE), and safety standards (HAZMAT, PPE)
- Assess current processes and identify improvements
- Offer guidance on best practices and industry standards in mail and shipping operations
- Assist account teams with troubleshooting and implementing operational solutions
- Supervise staff, monitor training, conduct performance evaluations, and assist in recruiting during transitions
- Oversee team activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set deadlines
- Track budgets and explain variances
- Record operational and financial data for reporting
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and escalate staffing or delivery issues
- Support resource allocation and project management, including regular status meetings
- Train staff and develop processes to support client needs
- Report project and program statuses to senior management
- Oversee end-to-end cross-functional projects, develop program charters, and ensure schedules are maintained
- Manage relationships with vendors and internal teams to meet deadlines
- Leverage knowledge of multiple disciplines and business drivers to improve performance
- Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, and negotiate with external partners
- Identify and resolve complex operational and organizational problems
- Innovate existing methods and standards within the job discipline
- Ask questions and analyze root causes to improve operations
- Travel up to 50%, including some weekends
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 4+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years combined education and experience
- 4+ years in Mail/Shipping/Logistics and warehouse management
- 4+ years in HazMat, IATA, DOT regulations, with certifications preferred (must obtain IATA/DOT certifications within 120 days)
- Experience with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, dollies) and knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements
- Experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to all organizational levels
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Leadership skills to set and achieve targets across departments
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
