Job summary

Kindred Hospital South FL- Hollywood, part of Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Lifepoint Health, seeks a Program Director/Director of Rehabilitation to lead the acute rehabilitation program and oversee staffing. You will work with Medical Director, Nurse Manager and therapists to deliver high-quality care and ensure efficient operations.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, policy adherence, staff development, and ongoing education, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and coordinating

Qualifications

• Experience managing health or human services programs.
• Experience with geriatric disabled population preferred.
• Minimum bachelor degree.
• Clinical background with a PT or OT license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total operations of the acute rehabilitation program.
• Staffing, team supervision and development across defined roles.
• Ensure adherence to policies of professional bodies, hospital and Lifepoint.
• Improve efficiency and productivity of clinical and administrative functions.

How you'll contribute

AProgram Director/Director of Rehabilitation who excels in this role:

• Responsible for the total operations of the acute rehabilitation program
• Ensure for program staffing, team supervision, and development. Team may include roles of Medical Director, Nurse Manager, Therapist, Social Worker, Community Relations Coordinator, Admissions Coordinator and others as defined by contract terms.
• Promote adherence to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations, client hospital and Lifepoint.
• Supervise the development of improved efficiency and productivity of facility/unit clinical/administrative functions.
• Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and others.
• Participate in continuing education/professional development activities.

What we're looking for

• A track record of successful management experience in a health or human services setting and/or an extensive rehabilitation background combined with strong interpersonal and organizational skill is necessary.
• Experience working with a geriatric disabled population is preferred.
• At minimum be a graduate of a four year bachelor degree program
• Clinical experience with a degree as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT)
