Job summary

ACCEL Schools Online is seeking a Program Director to lead an online school through launch and early operations, focusing on academic achievement, family engagement, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires coordinating with the partner and authorizer, overseeing student records, testing, attendance, and school finance, while guiding teachers with instructional materials and coaching.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or Organizational Leadership.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a successful teacher.
• Two years’ experience as an Instructional Coach or Teacher Leader preferred, online setting a plus.
• Experience building relationships with staff, students, parents, boards, and authorizers.
• Strong data-driven approach to improving student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school team through launch and the first year of operations.
• Oversee records, testing, attendance, staffing, finances, and facilities.
• Design programs to foster family engagement across distances.
• Provide feedback, professional development, and coaching for teachers.
• Use multiple data sources to identify and address barriers to achievement.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal laws and sponsor policies.
