Job summary

Acceleration Academies is seeking an Academy Director (School Principal) to serve as the operational and instructional leader of a site, guiding staff and ensuring our mission to reengage students toward graduation and postsecondary success.

This full-time, in-person role reports to the Regional Vice President and oversees enrollment, retention, academics, leadership, and compliance, while building district and community partnerships and maintaining a positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred.
• SC Principal certification required; SC Educator Certification required.
• Experience leading schools or district-level programs preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills for data-driven improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead site enrollment strategies and district collaborations.
• Oversee retention initiatives and a positive school culture.
• Direct academics, data reporting, and compliance for ESE/ESOL programs.
• Coach staff and ensure alignment with charter mission and goals.
• Manage budget planning and day-to-day operations for the academy.
• Foster community and family partnerships to remove barriers for students.
