Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is seeking a Program Director to lead the Continuing Education and Customized Training program. You will oversee program development, budget management, and external partnerships while supervising part‑time faculty and maintaining accreditation with NCCER.

Reporting to the Director, the role also requires instructional responsibilities with a teaching load and occasional release time for administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field from an accredited college.
• OSHA 30 Authorized Trainer (Construction) or ability to attain within 3 months.
• OSHA Authorized Trainer for General Industry/Construction (OSHA 500) or ability to attain within 6 months.
• NCCER Instructor Certification or ability to attain within 6 months.
• Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement certification or ability to attain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple client requests and programs.
• Schedule classes including instructor, location, materials, and adjustments as needed.
• Develop and manage budgets and monitor project performance over the life of the project.
• Maintain GTCC’s accreditation as an ATS with NCCER.
• Provide operational supervision to part‑time faculty in the department.
