Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is seeking a College and Career Pathways Faculty Academic Lead to provide strategic leadership for CCR programs including IET and IELCE initiatives. The role guides pathways from adult education to college and career opportunities, ensuring alignment with WIOA and NRS requirements while driving innovative instructional models for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, ESL/TESOL, or related field from an accredited post-secondary college or university.
• Specialized Certification: NCCCS Adult Education Certification, TESOL, or K-12 Certification.
• Master’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, ESL/TESOL, or related field from an accredited post-secondary college or university.
• Three years teaching ESL, developmental English or Math, HRD, or Adult Basic Education/High School Equivalency preparation.
• Three years experience with Title II WIOA Uniform Guidance, the National Reporting System, or programs designed to support ESL or basic skills deficient students in achieving college readiness.
• Experience with direct employee supervision and management, including evaluation.
• Proficiency in curriculum design, pedagogy, program administration, evaluation, instruction, SLOs, and academic advising for ESL or non-college ready students.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for the design, implementation, and evaluation of CCR, IET, and IELCE initiatives.
• Recruit, hire and mentor part-time faculty; assist with budget development and management.
• Support core instructional processes and student services to facilitate transitions to credit programs.
• Maintain a teaching load with release time for administrative duties.
• Establish partnerships with academic and workforce development departments to create seamless pathways from adult education to postsecondary education and employment.
