Job summary

Dungarvin in Baton Rouge seeks a Program Director to oversee four assigned programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities. You will coordinate goals, plans, and program implementation while balancing direct care duties with supervisory responsibilities.

You will supervise personnel, manage program operations including budgeting, and lead interdisciplinary team meetings to support continued growth and happiness for recipients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required.
• Experience as an intellectual disability professional preferred, based on a bachelor’s degree in human services plus at least one year of full-time direct experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee programs (4 in Baton Rouge) and ensure orientation and ongoing training.
• Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the program including goals, plans and budgeting.
• Schedule and lead interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate with case managers/service coordinators to support individuals’ growth and happiness.
• Ensure a therapeutic atmosphere and dignified, growth-oriented experiences for individuals.
