Job summary

The San Diego LGBT Community Center in San Diego, CA is seeking a Program Data Specialist to support Sexual Health and Wellness programs through data entry, database management, and training staff. This role ensures data quality and timely documentation while assisting with scheduling testing appointments and providing information about services.

You will maintain data in Apricot, LEO, SPARS, and other systems, coordinate with staff, and contribute to improving data processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum one year of experience in data entry, database management, administrative support, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail; good planning and organizational skills; ability to manage and review data, resolve discrepancies, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with LGBTQ+ communities and The Center’s work.
• Intermediate MS Office skills; ability to learn multiple databases.

Responsibilities

• Enter program, client, service, testing, outreach, and navigation data accurately within established timelines.
• Maintain data in Apricot, LEO, HIPO, SPARS, and other required databases.
• Conduct routine data quality checks for completeness and accuracy; identify issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Provide staff training and technical assistance on data entry, documentation, and data quality requirements.
• Maintain organized program records in compliance with confidentiality policies.
• Assist with scheduling HIV, STI, and hepatitis testing; respond to client inquiries and refer as needed.
