Job summary

SF LGBT Community Center in San Francisco seeks a Workforce Specialist and Data Coordinator to support Employment Services for trans and LGBTQ communities. You will handle day-to-day programming, events, and client services while managing data collection, enrollment, and reporting to external funders.

Reports to the Director of Employment Services and collaborates on program strategy, monitoring, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Cultural humility and demonstrated commitment to the transgender community; familiarity with the diversity of transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual and gender non-binary identities/experiences required.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in workforce development and/or trauma-informed case management work.
  • Familiarity with government grant contracts and grant reporting structures.
  • Ability to learn new data systems including WFC reporting tool or other tools provided by government grant funding partners.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Office, Google Suite, Zoom videoconference, Salesforce CRM or similar programs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support Employment Services Program administration, including supporting annual program monitoring and compliance reviews, and developing monthly, annual, and ad hoc program reports.
  • Maintain client files and ensure client confidentiality for program participants.
  • Maintain, support, and collect all programmatic data in appropriate platforms per government grant contracts. This includes data collection and entry into Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, Workforce Central grant reporting tools, and Salesforce CRM. Track impact of programs through qualitative and quantitative reports, working alongside the Director of Employment Services to adjust programmatic strategies.
  • Support the coordination and completion of participant forms for two or more city grants.
  • Partner with employment specialists to collect demographic and impact data for every client within the Employment Services Department.
  • Present impact data and program metrics per grant to Employment Services department (and Center staff as appropriate) monthly through PowerPoint and Salesforce CRM in order to track department outcomes.
  • In collaboration with Employment Services team participate in long-term program planning.
  • Provide individual services to program participants, including intakes and assessment, co-creation of Individual Employment Plans, case management, coaching on job search and career development, and internal and external referrals as relevant.
  • Assess participants' occupational skills and interests as they pertain to the local job market and assist them in setting and reaching appropriate employment objectives.
  • Coordinate, develop, and facilitate job search workshops and groups tailored specifically for trans/GNC/LGBTQ community members with multiple barriers to employment on a variety of topics including: Resume and cover letter writing; Completing employment applications; Interviewing techniques; Networking; Effective workplace communication.
  • Coordinate the Employment Services intake process for new clients looking for services. Responsibilities include scheduling and leading intake meetings, collecting enrollment forms, transitioning new clients onto active caseloads, and maintaining the waitlist as necessary.
  • Respond to community inquiries via phone or email, screening and referring inquiries to appropriate Center staff or resources.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
