Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination and support of special events including First-Generation, Open Houses, Welcome Week in addition to regularly scheduled workshops and programs.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Tutoring and Academic Support Services office.
  • Provide coordination support for TASS academic support sessions including assisting with logistics, communications, scheduling.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Academic Success Strategies (LAI 203) course logistics (materials, scheduling support) and teach a section of the course.

Position Summary

The University at Buffalo (UB) Tutoring and Academic Support Services Office (TASS) seeks to hire a creative, energetic, detail-oriented, and responsible Staff Assistant. The Staff Assistant will support the implementation and coordination of TASS programs, including scheduling support for the peer assisted learning program, space and logistical support for the First-Generation programming and summer bridge program. The Staff Assistant will ensure effective day-to-day operations that align with the departmental goals. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Tutoring and Academic Support Services, this position contributes to our mission of providing innovative programming and quality services to support learning and academic success.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in a tutoring center with a supplementary instruction program.
