About the Opportunity

The Roux Institute at Northeastern University serves as a Consolidated Partner to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services on Initiative 5 (Sustainable Rural Health Ecosystems) of Maine's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), co-leading the Hospital Efficiency and Stabilization work across Activity 5.1 (Hospital Efficiency and Financial Management) and Activity 5.2 (Regional Health Ecosystems Planning and Implementation). The Program Coordinator will provide logistical, administrative, and stakeholder engagement support across two closely related lines of work: (1) the Hospital Sustainability Learning Collaborative convened under Activity 5.1, and (2) the regionalized rural health ecosystems planning process convened under Activity 5.2. This position ensures that recurring convenings, individual hospital and regional stakeholder meetings, and cross-activity communications run smoothly, are well-documented, and support the Provider's obligations to the Department under this Contract. This role will work closely with the Roux Institute's RHTP project leadership, Contracted Vendors and state RHTP personnel delivering technical assistance to rural hospitals, andand engaging regional stakeholders across the state in health system coordination. Due to the statewide, multi-stakeholder nature of this initiative, this individual will routinely coordinate across organizations and levels of seniority, and must be comfortable managing a high volume of scheduling, logistics, and documentation with strong attention to detail.

Minimum Qalifications

Bachelor's degree required and 3-5 years of relevant experience in program or project coordination, event/meeting logistics, or administrative support, ideally in a healthcare, public health, higher education, or government-facing setting. Demonstrated experience coordinating recurring meetings, convenings, or workshops for multiple external stakeholders, including scheduling, agenda preparation, materials distribution, and notetaking. Strong analytical and technical abilities. Ability to independently deliver high quality, organized and repeatable results. Factual, direct style of communication. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines across two related but distinct activity areas. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment and diplomacy to interact professionally with hospital leadership, state government staff, and community stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams); comfort with survey/data collection tools (e.g., Qualtrics) and shared file systems (SharePoint) preferred. Ability to synthesize notes and input from meetings into clear, concise summaries for internal and Department-facing reporting. Knowledge of or interest in rural health, hospital operations, or health policy is a plus, but not required. Ability to exercise discretion with sensitive or confidential information related to hospital finances and operations.
