You will assist with marketing, enrollment, and operations, while providing essential administrative support to the Assistant Director and department staff. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and administration of programs, projects, and/or processes that align with the logistics and daily operations of summer, winter, academic, certificate, and personal enrichment programs and activities, ensuring a seamless experience for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Coordinate routine moving parts that support academic and student programs, personal enrichment programs, business office functions (such as procurement and human resources transactions), and summer/winter visiting students, allowing programs to run efficiently and effectively while maintaining high standards of service and delivery.
  • Support student needs, enrollment, and assist student success initiatives by ensuring an outstanding student experience.
  • Assist in the coordination, administration, and execution of traditional and digital marketing and recruitment initiatives to promote programs and activities.
  • Perform professional work that requires general program coordination practices and the basic application of office concepts, theories, and terminology.
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Director and other Department administrators as needed.

Mid Range Salary: 64788.980

Maximum Salary: 76975.480

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience

  • Key qualifications include strong communication skills, multitasking ability, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Candidates must be computer-savvy and quick learners with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in program coordination or administration is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Rutgers or other university applications (Cornerstone, Oracle, Concur, ROCS, ANCOR, IMS). Previous work experience in a university environment.
  • Experience coordinating educational or academic programs, including planning logistics, enrollment, and working with diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency with administrative and project management tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and student information systems.
  • Proficiency with website, graphic design, and social media management tools, such as Drupal, Hootsuite, and Canva.
  • Familiarity with working with students, faculty, and academic program planning.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
Equipment Utilized
  • RU software applications, such as IMS, CSS, PeopleSoft, HCM payroll, and Marketplace.
  • EResources (Orchestrate Platform) for Appeals Program and Visiting Student Registration. ANCOR, the university's non-credit registration system.
  • Drupal, Hootsuite, Canvas, Navigate, and Constant Contact. Zoom, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • The Office of Lifelong Learning is a fast-paced, student-focused, and collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift boxes, materials, and equipment up to 20lbs.
