Job summary

The McCain Institute, part of Arizona State University, seeks a Program Coordinator for the Human Rights & Freedom (HRF) Program in Washington, DC on a hybrid schedule. The role supports the MULI initiative, coordinating travel, events, communications, and financial tracking, with a salary range of $60,000–$65,000.

Responsibilities include calendar management, expense processing, donor compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with budgeting and tracking expenses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating travel, logistics, and events.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with donor reporting and financial controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager in MULI activities on time and on budget.
• Process and track program expenses, receipts, and financial requests.
• Coordinate travel logistics for staff, participants, and external stakeholders.
• Manage the HRF Program Manager’s calendar and communications.
• Arrange meetings/events logistics, including catering, A/V, venue, and partners.
• Draft and edit MULI program materials (social posts, invitations, agendas).
• Maintain expenses and financial documentation in tracking tools.
• Support donor/compliance processes with ASU requirements and reporting.
• Assist with partner relationships and Junior Fellows recruitment.
• Other duties to meet MULI objectives.
