Job summary

The Houston-Galveston Area Council is seeking a Program Coordinator – Performance & Data Support to provide operational and analytical help for Child Care Operations. You will collect, validate, organize, and maintain program data to monitor performance and support decision-making.

You will assist with dashboard development, reporting, and quality assurance while ensuring data integrity across systems, collaborating with stakeholders and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and 5 years local government, nonprofit experience.
• Experience managing grants, public funds, or regulatory programs.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret policies and apply them operationally.
• Experience with government reporting and oversight is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and maintain program data across systems to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and performance metrics.
• Analyze operational, fiscal, compliance, and program data to identify trends and support reporting.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and correct data discrepancies.
• Monitor KPIs, milestones, and reporting schedules with tracking tools.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for leadership, funding agencies, Board members, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement by documenting processes and driving efficiencies.
• Maintain records within designated systems of record with compliance to policies.
• Collaborate with departments, contractors, and staff to resolve data issues and improve reporting.
• Provide guidance on data collection and reporting standards to ensure consistent practices.
