Job summary

Florida International University invites applications for a Program Coordinator in the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine to join a dedicated team of professionals.

The role supports the Office of Academic Community Programs and Partnerships, coordinating scheduling, communication, and event planning for STEM Saturdays, Doctors of Tomorrow, and other pathway programs. Regular site visits help ensure program readiness and compliance with FIU policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience or 5 years of office/related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Previous experience in an academic or community-based organization is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager in coordinating administrative support for new and ongoing programs, including scheduling, communication, organization and event planning.
• Conduct monthly site visits for STEM Saturdays to monitor activities, engagement, and site readiness.
• Update flyers, promotional materials, and websites, newsletters and related pages.
• Serve as a liaison between participants and outside parties such as community partners, vendors and government agencies.
• Oversee credentialing of community faculty involved in the programs and ensure accuracy of weekly student activities.
• Provide support at events and assist with program-related materials and training.
