Homeward Bound of Marin is seeking a compassionate Program Coordinator to support families at Nuestra Casa and OMA Village toward housing stability and self-sufficiency. You will manage housing-focused casework, coordinate CalAIM services, enroll families, and link them with community resources, working with landlords and partners.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, accountability, and confidential, respectful communication.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience with under-resourced populations.
• Experience in housing programs and Housing First knowledge.
• Knowledge of life skills, money management, and tenant rights under fair housing laws.
• Knowledge of substance use and mental health issues affecting housing stability.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, collaboration, and crisis-management skills.

Homeward Bound is Marin County’s primary provider of shelter and housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We offer emergency shelter, short- and long-term supportive housing, job training and placement, and wraparound services. Our mission is Opening Doors to Safety, Dignity, Hope, and Independence.

Homeward Bound of Marin is seeking a compassionate and organized Program Coordinator to support families at Nuestra Casa and OMA Village as they work toward housing stability, self-sufficiency, and personal goals.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Family Programs, you'll provide comprehensive, housing-focused case management, coordinate CalAIM services, support program enrollment, and connect families with community resources. You'll work closely with program staff, landlords, service providers, and community partners to help families maintain stable housing.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a caseload of up to 18 families and provide comprehensive, housing-focused case management services
• Support family intake, assessment, eligibility determination, documentation, enrollment, and housing placement
• Complete CalAIM enrollments for eligible families and meet Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports requirements
• Create and maintain assessments, care plans, service records, and outcome documentation in HMIS and HIPPO (Salesforce)
• Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, billing-ready, and prepared for quality reviews and audits
• Serve as the primary Coordinated Entry contact for Nuestra Casa families and connect them with appropriate housing and resources
• Work with residents, landlords, housing communities, shelter programs, and community partners to support housing retention
• Help families address barriers, build life and money-management skills, and increase economic independence
• Provide supportive counseling, referrals, crisis intervention, and strengths-based problem-solving
• Conduct habitability inspections and annual assessments of residents' service needs
• Help fill housing vacancies promptly by coordinating qualified referrals with Homeward Bound programs and local partners
• Partner with program and volunteer managers to coordinate volunteer-led events for families
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training, chart reviews, and other quality-assurance activities
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with families, colleagues, and partners with respect, dignity, and kindness

You'll also provide emergency support when needed, which may include coordinating with law enforcement, psychiatric services, community agencies, and other Homeward Bound staff.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Two to three years of experience working with under-resourced or low-income populations
• Experience in residential or housing programs and knowledge of the Housing First model
• Knowledge of life skills, money management, and tenant rights and responsibilities under fair housing laws
• Knowledge of substance use and mental health issues that may affect housing stability
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, collaboration, and crisis-management skills
• A valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and the ability to drive approximately 250 miles per month between sites throughout Marin County
• Ability to travel between housing sites, use a computer for moderate periods, occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl, and lift or move up to 40 pounds

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in social work, social welfare, psychology, or a related field, or five years of comparable work experience
• Experience supporting individuals or families experiencing homelessness
• Experience with CalAIM, Enhanced Care Management, Community Supports, HMIS, or Salesforce
