Job summary

The Salvation Army, Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Philadelphia, seeks a Program Cook for a part-time role up to 29 hours per week. You will work evenings and weekends as needed to support ongoing operations, prepare meals, and ensure guest satisfaction.

You should have 3–5 years of supervisory hospitality experience, strong food preparation skills, and certifications in ServSafe and local food safety requirements. This position is on-site in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of supervisory experience in a hospitality operation.
• Hands on knowledge of food, cooking techniques, and on-premise events.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic office tools.
• ServSafe Manager Certification and a Philadelphia Food Establishment Personnel Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of guest service while preparing food and overseeing kitchen equipment.
• Coordinate food service with center administrators and manage inventory, stock, and receiving.
• Assist with setup, execution, and cleanup of events as required.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow safety and sanitation standards.
