Job summary

Ne Arc in Massachusetts seeks a supervisory role overseeing participants in community-based day and work support programs, and guiding assigned program case managers. The role focuses on supervision, coaching, and development to help participants reach their personal goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled adults preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English and/or ASL.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/walk up to one hour.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support participants in day and work programs.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and training to assigned program case managers.
  • Evaluate participant progress and adjust plans to improve outcomes.
  • Develop individual goals reflecting the participant’s vision for skill development.
  • Maintain all required documentation and ensure progress toward goals.
  • Coordinate transportation for participants when vehicles are available.
  • Assist in securing volunteer placements and coach participants there.
  • Attend required training as assigned.

Job Summary:

Provides supervision, opportunities, and skill development to participants served in NeArc’s community-based day and work support program. Provides supervision, guidance, and training to assigned program case managers.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate individuals progress periodically and make adjustments as needed to improve outcomes
  • Evaluate and determine program participants’ interests and develop individual skills.
  • Provides assigned caseload oversight by attending scheduled meetings, maintaining regular and professional contact with the participant’s team, completing all required documentation, and ensuring the participant’s progress in the program as determined by his or her goals.
  • Creates individual goals to reflect the participant’s vision regarding skill development.
  • Maintains all required documentation within required timeframes to include:
  • Daily Data
  • Monthly/Quarterly Progress Notes/6-month summaries in HCSIS
  • Assessments
  • Confidential Record updates
  • Provides transportation to participants served in a personal or agency vehicle when one is available.
  • Assists in obtaining appropriate volunteer placements for participants served and provides ongoing coaching support in these placements to ensure continued success.
  • Attends and completes all required training assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1 year of experience working with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled adults or other related experiences preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Effective communicator in both person and writing. Ability to communicate in English and or ASL via direct communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Must be able to stand/walk up to one hour uninterrupted.
Work Environment:

The environment consists of office space, program areas, volunteer sites, vehicles and various locations out in the community.
