Job summary

Bancroft's Lakeside Campus in Pennsville, NJ, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower autistic and intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals. This onsite role supports individuals in daily living, implements behavioral plans, and helps them reach their personal goals.

The position offers 39 hours weekly with a second shift; starting pay ranges from $19.61 to $20.00 per hour plus incentives, with a full benefits package and opportunities for tuition reimbursement

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License in legal name and current address; minimum 1 year driving experience.
• Six months related work experience OR Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, social awareness, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, teaching daily living and functional skills.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior situations and follow Bancroft's safety and crisis protocols.
• Complete paperwork and provide regular documentation; maintain communication with residents and families.
