Job summary

Bancroft’s Lakeside Campus in Carneys Point, NJ seeks a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. This onsite role supports daily living skills, safety, and community participation, working 38 hours weekly with a second shift schedule.

The DSP will implement behavioral plans, collect data, accompany clients to appointments, and maintain documentation while upholding Bancroft’s safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver’s license in candidate’s legal name with at least 1 year driving experience.
• Six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, budgeting and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision to support life skills and transition to less restrictive settings.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings; provide safe transportation.
• Complete paperwork and maintain communication with residents, families and guardians.
