Solomon Page in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Program Associate to join a leading Global Macro Hedge Fund. The role combines administrative, operational, and programmatic support for philanthropic initiatives and family office activities, with about 70% focus on the Foundation and 30% on Family Office projects.

Requirements include 1–3 years in nonprofit/philanthropy and a Bachelor’s degree. The position offers base salary 60–90k, discretionary bonus, and excellent benefits.

Job description

A leading Global Macro Hedge Fund in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a new Program Associate to join its growing team! Candidates should have 1-3 years of applicable experience working at a nonprofit and/or in philanthropy (required) and a Bachelor’s degree is also required. The Program Associate provides administrative, operational, and programmatic support to both philanthropic initiatives and family office activities. Approximately 70% of the role will focus on supporting the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts, including grantmaking, project development, and engagement with nonprofit, academic, and research institutions. The remaining 30% will involve direct support to the Family Office. This is an ideal role for candidates seeking hands-on experience in philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, grantmaking, family office logistics, and strategic project management!

  • Salary depends on experience (60-90k base), plus discretionary bonus eligibility. Amazing/comprehensive benefits!
  • Hours are 9:00am-6:00pm, with flexibility. Hybrid work schedule (4 days in office / 1 day remote).

  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, summaries, and research memoranda for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics, including itineraries and briefing materials.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to senior leadership.
  • Conduct research on organizations, issue areas, and funding opportunities aligned with Foundation priorities.
  • Assist with family office projects and strategic initiatives, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide event logistics support for foundation convenings, including vendor coordination, scheduling, materials preparation, participant communications, and day-of execution.
  • Support other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3+ years of applicable experience working at a nonprofit and/or in philanthropy.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated interest in philanthropy, nonprofit management, public policy, education, scientific research, conservation, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional judgment and discretion, particularly in handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a foundation, nonprofit organization, family office, consulting firm, government office, financial services firm, or related institution.
  • Experience supporting senior executives, boards, or high-level meetings.
  • Familiarity with grantmaking, nonprofit operations, or philanthropic strategy.
  • Experience conducting research, preparing briefing materials, or supporting strategic projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in mission-driven work and social impact.
