The Associate will interface with internal and external stakeholders to manage projects and programs that make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. This position will be based onsite fulltime in the New York office and will report directly to the Foundation’s Executive Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support end-to-end grantmaking and scholarship operations, collaborating closely with Foundation staff to manage grants and the scholarship program from initial outreach through implementation and evaluation.
  • Advance grantmaking efforts by identifying potential nonprofit partners, conducting due diligence, coordinating applicant follow-up, and supporting grant award processing, distribution, and monitoring, including timely collection and review of grantee reports.
  • Conduct research and landscape analysis to inform strategic decision-making, including insights on prospective grantees, priority impact areas, and emerging sector trends.
  • Maintain and update a robust database of community-based organizations to strengthen the Foundation’s network and outreach pipeline.
  • Evaluate select grant proposals for mission alignment and project feasibility and prepare recommendations for leadership review.
  • Oversee grant payment and tracking processes, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Organize and participate in routine check‑ins with grantees to support grant reporting and strengthen partnerships.
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for nonprofit partners, property staff, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and relationship‑centered communication.
  • Support program planning and implementation by working with Foundation team, nonprofit partners, and property management staff to support planning, execution, and successful delivery and implementation of foundation‑funded programs.
  • Synthesize and communicate project updates to Foundation leadership, offering insights, progress summaries, and recommendations as needed.
  • Support board operations, including preparation for board meetings and drafting monthly board reports.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation, representing its mission and values to internal colleagues, partner organizations, and community stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and inter‑personal skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders—including internal leaders and colleagues, nonprofit partners, property management staff, residents, and local communities.
  • Demonstrates a high level of receptivity to feedback and instruction, seamlessly integrating takeaways into future work products.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, as well as acute attention to detail; showcasing the capacity to excel in a fast‑paced environment while successfully managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Empathetic and compassionate individual who gains significant personal satisfaction from assisting others in challenging economic circumstances.
Education and Experience
