Job summary

Canine Companions in Concord, CA is seeking a Program Assistant to ensure client applications are processed accurately and to provide broad support across the office. You will read and respond to requests, track applications, and submit files to the review committee while assisting volunteers and graduates throughout the program.

You will support team training sessions, coordinate dog transport, and maintain detailed records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with detailed records.
• Dog handling experience preferred.
• Prior experience working with people with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reading, assessing and responding to all requests regarding applications.
• Applicant tracking throughout application process.
• Submission of completed applications to review committee.
• Office administration support in Salesforce.
• Conduct volunteer onboarding.
• Instruct clients during Team Training.
• Provide follow-up and support to graduates following Team Training.
• Coordinate dog transport.
