Canine Companions For Independence in Concord, CA is seeking an entry-level Program Assistant to process client applications and provide general support across teams. You will track applications, coordinate volunteer onboarding, and assist with Team Training and post-graduation follow-up.

The role requires strong time management, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Salary is $20–22 per hour with employer-paid health coverage and generous PTO in a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, assess and respond to requests regarding applications.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Maintain detailed records, complete paperwork and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with computers: word processing, spreadsheets, email, CRM database.

Responsibilities

• Reading, assessing and responding to all requests regarding applications.
• Applicant tracking throughout application process
• Submission of completed applications to review committee
• Office administration support in Salesforce
• Conduct volunteer onboarding
• Instruct clients during Team Training
• Provide follow-up and support to graduates following Team Training
• Coordinate dog transport
