Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Illinois is hiring for a part-time Program Manager role supporting community rehabilitation efforts. You will help enforce house rules, supervise beneficiary activities, and coordinate transportation and assessments to ensure program compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, possible managerial experience, and a valid driver's license. The role offers weekend hours (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with pay ranging from $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, and part-time

• Managerial experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Army insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Enforce house rules and maintain center security.
• Conduct beneficiary orientations including facility tours.
• Lead weekly house meetings.
• Supervise medication calls and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to beneficiary inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and SafeFromHarm documentation.
• Coordinate leisure time activities.
• Provide safe transportation when needed.
• Assist in resolving beneficiary problems.
• Train and supervise work therapy assignments.
• Assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator.
• Administer drug and alcohol screening tests.
• Maintain daily reports and electronic data entries.
• Document program violations and incidents.
• Support center policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure program compliance.
