Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indianapolis is seeking a Store Manager on the 2nd shift to uphold the center's philosophy and standards while supporting our rehabilitation programs. You will lead program management, supervise beneficiary activities and medication calls, coordinate transportation, and handle administrative duties to ensure safety, compliance, and effective service delivery.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; prior managerial experience preferred; a valid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Managerial experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Army insurance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce house rules and maintain overall center security.
• Conduct new beneficiary orientations including facility tours.
• Lead weekly house meetings.
• Supervise medication calls and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to beneficiary inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and Safe From Harm documentation.
• Implement and coordinate leisure time activities.
• Provide safe transportation when needed.
• Assist in resolving beneficiary problems.
• Train and supervise work therapy assignments.
• Assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator.
• Administer drug and alcohol screening tests as required.
• Maintain daily reports and electronic data entries.
• Document program violations and incidents.
• Support center policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure program compliance.

About the Role

Additional Information

What You Need

Required

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous managerial experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Army insurance
