Operating at the intersection of departmental administration and student engagement initiatives, this role supports daily office logistics, program events, and the student staff team.

By streamlining operations, tracking engagement data, and assisting with student advising programs, the Coordinator ensures GSP students receive the responsive support and robust resources necessary to not just graduate, but thrive.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Financial Administration: Support purchasing and procurement. Manage and submit departmental expense reports, invoices, and receipts.

Student Employee Support: Assist the Associate Director in recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising student Front Desk Assistants

Update training materials and overall functional knowledge as campus resources change over time.

Event Coordination: Provide logistical and planning support for office initiatives, programming, and bi-annual Alumni Advisory Board meetings

Reserving spaces, ordering supplies, coordinating catering, booking travel, managing invites and event communications, and contributing to overall event strategies (goals and objectives).

Communications: Help manage program outreach and digital presence by updating the website, drafting newsletters, and creating content.

Assessment and Data Tracking: Track and analyze student engagement metrics- including office visits, event turnout, and course attendance to identify trends and ensure program resources proactively address student needs.

Conduct student advising appointments, assist with events (e.g. GSP 101 and mentorship programs), and triage students to appropriate campus resources.

Additionally, the position serves as an administrative liaison to various on-campus student-facing offices, campus partners, and alumni networks to foster a collaborative and deeply supportive community that aligns with Georgetown University’s commitment to equity and holistic student care.
