Conditions of employment

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Performing analytical and evaluative work in support of organizational operations; and 2) Supporting the development and coordination of operational products such as plans, orders, and briefings; and 3) Conducting mission analysis to assess courses of action; and 4) Preparing draft materials for senior leaders; and 5) participating in staff coordination related to enterprise-level initiatives.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/ grade level position in the federal service (NH-02/ GS-11).

Among other features, the Demonstration Project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-03 is equal to the former GS-12 Step 01 through GS-13 step 10. ATEC uses salary control points to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $158,322 per year (Includes locality pay).
