Job description

This vacancy is for a GS-0343-7/9, PROGRAM ANALYST located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SFLC WSD WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT BR -SFLC-WSD-WMB in Glen Burnie, MD.

To qualify at the GS-07 grade level

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

  • Assisting with the analysis and evaluation of administrative or management programs.
  • Collecting, reviewing, and interpreting data to identify trends, issues, or program effectiveness.
  • Conducting research and assisting in developing findings, reports, and recommendations.
  • Applying established policies, regulations, procedures, and guidelines to program or management activities.
  • Coordinating with management and organizational staff to support program goals, projects, and operational requirements
  • OR - 1 full year of graduate level education
  • OR - superior academic achievement.
To qualify at the GS-09 grade level

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

  • Analyzing and evaluating administrative, workforce, or management programs to determine effectiveness and identify area for improvement.
  • Conducting management studies, research, and fact-finding to identify and resolve organizational or program issues.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and developing findings and recommendations.
  • Applying and interpreting federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to program or workforce management.
  • Coordinating with organizational stakeholders to address workforce, manpower, organizational development, or resource requirements.
  • OR - master's or equivalent graduate degree
  • OR - 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
  • OR - LL.B. or J.D., if related.
