Job summary

Cannonball Recruiting LLC is seeking a Profit Center Manager in Palo Alto, CA to lead the sales and profit objectives of the center. You will recruit, train, coach, and manage the Profit Center team to deliver outstanding results.

Set clear performance expectations, establish goals for accounts, and conduct regular evaluations. You will analyze financial reports to increase sales, manage expenses, and safeguard assets.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years sales and service experience.
• 1+ year leadership experience.
• Be able to drive for company business and possess a valid driver's license.
• Strong people skills, business judgment and opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales, gross profit, market share and profit sharing goals through the Profit Center team.

• Determine account potential and set sales goals for those accounts.
• Aim for upper quartile performance in key metrics like GP%, Net Salaries Ratio and ROI.
• Analyze financial reports, implement strategies to increase sales and margins.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and maintain asset protection.
• Build community relationships to expand market share and identify new markets.
• Comply with company policies and ensure a safe working environment.
• Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets.

Profit Center Manager

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 base salary, plus a $1,500 guaranteed commission for 6 consecutive months

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales, gross profit, market share and profit sharing goals through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management of the Profit Center team.
• Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess progress and provide feedback and development.
• Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals for those accounts, and hold salespeople accountable for achieving those goals.
• Achieve upper quartile performance in these key indicators - Gross Profit %, Net Salaries Ratio, Occupancy Ratio, Return on Investment, Gross Profit per Employee, and Profit Sharing per Employee.
• Analyze available financial reports and information, implement appropriate strategies to increase sales and margin, improve productivity, and manage expenses and assets.
• Ensure the Profit Center meets or exceeds customer service expectations.
• Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
• Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
• Maintain and insist upon a safe working environment in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
• Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets - buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years sales and service experience
• 1+ year leadership experience
• Product knowledge related to the specific Profit Center market preferred
• Be able to drive for company business. As a company business driver, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a proper and valid driver's license.
• Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
• Possess excellent people skills, sound business judgment, and the capacity for continued growth and contributions to the Company.
• Use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain appointments and customer and vendor contact files, and to analyze performance data.
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity.
• Create and nurture a positive team environment, inspiring all employees to do their best work to achieve the highest levels of customer and employee satisfaction.
