Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist seeks a Climber to perform tree climbing, pruning, and removal in Michigan. The role follows Foreperson directives and ensures safe operations while loading gear and maintaining equipment.

Applicants should have climbing experience, rope/rigging knowledge, and CPR/First Aid certification. Travel for storm restoration may be required; a background check and drug screen are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience with tree climbing and rigging
• Ability to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle
• Familiarity with emergency rescue techniques and first aid
• Awareness of electrical hazards near conductors and aerial rescue in aloft
• Ability to work at heights in varying and adverse weather
• Must pass background check and drug screening and obtain CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson’s directives
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris
• Inspect and ensure proper condition of tools and equipment
• Enforce safe practices and keep work area clean
• Perform storm restoration duties as needed
