Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist is seeking a Climber to perform tree pruning, removal, and related tasks. The role involves climbing, rigging, and operating chainsaws and hand tools while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include loading equipment, maintaining tools, and supporting storm restoration as needed. Candidates should meet safety and training requirements and be able to work outdoors under varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Climb/descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Able to perform emergency rescue techniques including tree rescue and first aid.
• Familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors; know aerial rescue.
• Capable of working at heights under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson’s directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Work from ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, and gas-powered chain saws.
• Inspect and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Enforce safe practices; keep area clean and communicate with crew.
• Perform storm-work duties as needed.
