Survey Manager – Professional Land Surveyor - 625023

Location: Greenville, SC or Nashville, TN

Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Professional Land Surveyor to serve as Survey Manager. This role involves leading land surveys and investigations, including the preparation of topographic maps, boundary adjustments, subdivision maps, records of survey, and legal descriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate land surveying projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, especially boundary calculations and ownership issues.
• Provide guidance to engineering teams on survey-related tasks and planning.
• Oversee the creation of detailed survey maps and legal documents.
• Lead field survey crews and office survey technicians.
• Meet project deadlines and stay within budget.
• Use creativity and sound judgment to solve complex surveying challenges.
• Maintain high standards and accuracy in all deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in South Carolina or eligibility for reciprocity.
• At least 5 years of land surveying experience, including subdivision and topographic mapping, and drafting legal descriptions.
• Proficiency with Carlson Survey software and GPS equipment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors, exposed to wildlife and insects such as snakes, ticks, and bees.
• Capable of standing for long periods, walking long distances, and climbing hills or rough terrain.
• Comfortable in various weather conditions and temperatures.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
